Stephen Mui joins McCann Shanghai as chief integrated creative officer

SHANGHAI – October 9, 2013 – Stephen Mui has been appointed to the role of chief integrated creative officer at McCann Shanghai, effective early October 2013, McCann announced in a press release.

 
In his new role, Mui will be charged with anticipating and implementing cutting edge innovative creative solutions for the agency’s clients. 
 
Said Jesse Lin, CEO McCann WorldGroup Greater China: “Stephen is an outstanding senior creative leader who knows the art of digital and integration. His leadership style is very hands on; he understands the importance of relationships and inspiring his team to succeed.
 
A Hong Kong native, Mui has over 20 years experience working in Greater China. He has worked across multiple categories such as automotive, beauty, FMCG, finance and retail. In recent years Stephen has focused on driving creative innovation through integrating traditional and digital advertising and helping clients to prevail in the highly competitive China market, the release said. 
 
Lin added, "Stephen also understands that Brand communication must continually surprises, evolve and resonate with its target in order to impact. His passion and experience in integration will help us strengthen our creative product further. We are excited to welcome him to the McCann family.”
 
Previously ECD at DDB China, Mui was based in Beijing and responsible for leading and strengthening the creative teams and the agency’s product. Prior to this role he was integrated executive creative director at SapientNitro, ECD of JWT Guangzhou and ECD of Leo Burnett Beijing/Guangzhou respectively.
