MANILA – December 3, 2013 — Manila-based strategic marketing communications firm TeamAsia added another feather to its cap after winning Best Information Services Mobile Application award at the Mobile Web Award by US-based Web Marketing Association (WMA). The agency won the award for the 5th International Outsourcing Summit Event Mobile App it developed, TeamAsia said in a press release.

“We are very honored to receive this award, which represents our commitment to pioneering technology and communications excellence,” said Bea Lim, managing director of TeamAsia. “Mobile platforms are becoming essential channels of communication, even in high-level international gatherings such as the International Outsourcing Summit (IOS). We are very proud to enable the IOS with mobile technology.”

The mobile app was developed to provide news, agenda updates and information on networking opportunities for the recently concluded 5th International Outsourcing Summit held in Manila. The event mobile app is available for download from the Google Play store and the iTunes App Store.

The International Outsourcing Summit is an annual event organized by the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines in partnership with TeamAsia. For the past five years, the Summit has become a platform for global industry leaders to share insights and develop strategies in response to various issues concerning their sectors and geographies. The mobile app facilitated exchange of information and enhanced communication among delegates from across the globe.

The app gave users instant access to Twitter, where they received real-time tweets on the sessions and discussions, and allowed them to join the conversation using their personal Twitter accounts and the hashtag #IOSPH. Features also include access to news and blogs; information on sponsors, partners, speakers, and exhibitors; and a map to the venue.

The mobile app team was composed of Jeff Enriquez, project manager; Gary Aure, lead mobile developer; Marvin Desuasido, mobile developer; Anne Maisie De Leon, digital media associate; and Paola Ceriola, editorial associate.

In September, TeamAsia also won the Marketing Standard of Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development for the Pilipinas Go4Health website of the Philippine Department of Health (DOH).

“This is another great achievement for our company. As we enter our third decade in the industry, we’re very eager to create even more enriching experiences for the companies and partners we work with,” said Lim.
