TV5’s localized Hollywood movie specials lead in Nielsen ratings

MANILA, MAY 28, 2013 – TV5’s Sine Ko 5ingko Premiere on its first week posted strong numbers for the Kapatid Network, as its line-up of Hollywood blockbusters broke into Nielsen Audience Measurement Overnight Ratings’ Top 15 Evening Programs (6:00PM to 12:00midnight).

Sine Ko 5ingko Premiere offers localized Hollywood movie hits, bringing together some of local showbiz’s hottest stars to lend their voices to some of Hollywood’s biggest chart-toppers.
 
The Philippine free TV premiere of G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra last May 20 posted 5.4% AMR in NUTAM and 5.3% AMR in MEGATAM. TV5 talent JC de Vera voiced the film’s lead character Drake (played onscreen by Channing Tatum).

On the other hand, The Day After Tomorrow registered 5.2% AMR in NUTAM and 5.9% in MEGATAM. Tuesday saw two more international hits, Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen and Little Big Soldier, raking up ratings for the Kapatid Network. Edgar Allan Guzman and Arci Muñoz subbed for Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox for Transformers II, which generated 5.9%AMR in NUTAM and 6.5% AMR in MEGATAM. For its part, Little Big Soldier posted 3.9%AMR in NUTAM while it rated 4.3% AMR in MEGATAM.
 
The second part of Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen last Wednesday night saw TV5 posting 7.7% AMR in NUTAM and 8.0% AMR in MEGATAM, outgunning ABS-CBN’s Missing You and Little Champ as well as GMA’s Queen and I

On the other hand, The Kapatid Network’s airing of Lake Placid recorded 5.1% and 5.6% AMR in NUTAM and MEGATAM, respectively.

Thursday features Mission Impossible III (which features the voice of Zoren Legaspi in the lead role portrayed by Tom Cruise) and Agent Cody Banks II beat GMA’s Home Sweet Home. Mission Impossible III registered at 5.7% and 6.3% in NUTAM and MEGATAM, respectively; while Agent Cody Banks II posted 4.6% in NUTAM and 5.3% AMR in MEGATAM.

Friday’s The Last Airbender, which featured the voices of Artista Academy alumni Akihiro Blanco and Chanel Morales, posted 7.0%AMR in NUTAM and 7.3%AMR in MEGATAM, while Dragonball: Evolution recorded 6.1%AMR and 6.6%AMR in NUTAM and MEGATAM, respectively.
