SINGAPORE – November 22, 2013 – Matthew Godfrey, President Y&R Asia, today announced Y&R’s new network development structure for 2014 with Camellia Tan assuming the newly-created role Director of Network Development for VML Asia, and Liz Kim succeeding Tan as Director of Network Development Y&R Advertising Asia.
Commenting on the new structure, Matthew Godfrey said, “2013 was a year of phenomenal growth for Y&R, including opening our new office in Myanmar on the occasion of the network’s 90th anniversary. VML now has over 400 staff in the region, having opened eight offices across in just 18 months, from Singapore and Sydney, to India, Indonesia, Tokyo and most recently VML IM2.0 in China. Leveraging synergies between Y&R Advertising and VML have been, and will continue to be, key to our business growth in Asia.”
Camellia Tan has been appointed to the newly-created role of Director of Network Development Asia for VML, having spent the last year successfully building VML Asia into one of the region’s biggest pure-play digital networks.
Within just 18 months, VML has established eight offices in Asia Pacific with over 400 talented staff across the entire region. Tan was instrumental in the network’s most recent acquisition of IM2.0 and launch of VML IM2.0 in China. She has also brought together Y&R network resource to partner with VML on regional new business.
Tan’s new role encompasses business development, bringing global clients to Asia and expanding strong local VML client relationships across the region. Tan is looking to leverage skills and excellence across offices as well as within both VML and Y&R Advertising. Her Singapore-based role is effective immediately, reporting directly to Matthew Godfrey and working closely with VML’s global headquarters in Kansas City.

" width="200" height="300" hspace="5" align="right" alt="" />Liz Kim has been appointed as Director of Network Development for Y&R, as part of the company’s ongoing innovation for growth strategy. Based in Singapore reporting directly to Matthew Godfrey, her role is effective December 1, 2013. Kim will focus on expanding Y&R Advertising’s capabilities and strengths in the region through acquisitions, partnerships and talent development. Shopper marketing is also set to be a key area of focus for 2014.
Kim joins Y&R Asia’s regional team following almost four years with the network, building the Y&R Korea office and managing its key accounts, and most recently with Y&R Shanghai as Director of Client Services.
