Where to donate to Typhoon Yolanda relief

MANILA – November 11, 2013 – Typhoon Yolanda barreled through the Philippines over the weekend, leaving widespread destruction in its wake, particularly in Leyte island, which received the strongest blows. 
 
The typhoon has affected over 2.1 million families, with an estimated 96,039 staying in evacuation centers, Rappler reports
 
Those who need to locate missing friends or family members, or have information on missing people can use the Google Person Finder

Donations to the Ateneo de Manila University for disaster response may be made through any of the following existing channels for donating to DReaM Team campaigns. Donors are urged to indicate for which calamity they are giving assistance: Typhoon Yolanda, Typhoon Santi, or the Central Visayas (Bohol and Cebu) Earthquake.

Air21 is holding a relief drive from November 9 to 17. Preferred items include clothes, blankets, slippers, non-perishable food like canned goods, biscuits and noodles, bottled water, and medicines. Donations may be brought to Air21 outlets. Donations will be distributed in partnership with DSWD. 
 
 
To support relief efforts in the Philippines you can mail a check to your local American Red Cross chapter designating Philippines Typhoons and Flood in the memo line. 
 
 
Available all year round, Ayala Foundation’s Laging Handa Donation Channel gathers funds to support its Disaster Relief program. The program allows Ayala Foundation to readily help those in need of assistance during natural calamities.
