MANILA – December 11, 2013 – If 2012 was the year of South Korea, with Psy’s Gangnam Style the top trending video on YouTube, 2013 is the year of Scandinavia, with three major players in the video sharing platform’s annual list.

Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis’ "What does the fox say?" was the top trending video on YouTube Rewind, followed by the Norwegian Army, whose version of Harlem Shake got the most views. Third, PewDiePie became the #1 most subscribed channel on YouTube with over 16 million subscribers.

In the Philippines, the YouTube experience was defined by the Kiyomi craze, breaking news, and silly memes.
