GLOBAL – NOVEMBER 9, 2010 – For the first time in its 25 years, London International Awards honors the Network of the Year, Agency of the Year and Production Company of the Year based on the work chosen by juries across all media.
Network of the Year is Y&R, which was was awarded six Gold, seventeen Silver, twenty-six Bronze and eighteen Finalists, with metals from 14 cities. Agency of the Year is RCKR/Y&R, which was awarded three Gold, seven Silver, ten bronze and five Finalists, buoyed by campaigns for the BBC and Virgin Media. Production Company of the Year is MJZ, which was awarded six Gold, two Silver, five Bronze and five Finalists, boosted in large part by wins for Halo 3 and Old Spice.
“Our point system is not so much about ranking. It’s about honoring the Agency, Production Company and Network that have consistently done exceptionally good work throughout the year,” explained Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. “These Winners are not one-hit wonders. They continually demonstrate the staying power of their good work. So what better time than our 25th, which is a milestone for any awards show, to introduce these new awards.”
AlmapBBDO Brasil and Ogilvy Johannesburg won the only Grand LIAs awarded out of a potential thirteen.

AlmapBBDO Brasil won the Grand LIA and a Gold Statue in Print – Consumer Campaign for Billboard Magazine with their work titled, “Bono,” “Amy”, “Eminen”, “Marilyn” and “Britney”.
Ogilvy Johannesburg won the Grand LIA and a Gold Statue in Television/Cinema/Online Film – Public Service/Social Welfare spot titled “Selinah”.
The award tally for Asia-Pacific is as follows:
Australia: 5 Gold, 13 Silver, 6 Bronze
China: 2 Bronze
India: 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze
Indonesia: 3 Bronze
Japan: 7 Gold, 2 Silver, 6 Bronze
New Zealand: 2 Silver, 1 Bronze
The Philippines: 1 Gold, 3 Silver
Singapore: 2 Silver, 2 Bronze
Taiwan: 1 Gold
Thailand: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze
Of the 13,562 submissions, from 79 countries, only four percent (4%) attained Shortlist status. Of those elite selections, only 0.6% won Gold Statues; 0.87% Silver Statues; 1.12% Bronze Statues and 1.33% Finalist.
