MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Artist Training Division of the Cultural Center of the Philippines is pleased to announce the fellows accepted to the Virgin Labfest 16 Writing Fellowship Program which takes place online on November 16 – December 5, 2021:

The Virgin Labfest 16 Writing Fellowship Program is a three-week mentorship program on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. The Fellowship Program is part of the Cultural Center’s desire to train young aspiring playwrights. It consists of lectures, discussions, and workshops on playwriting and script critiquing.

Due to the limitations of online mentoring, only eight (8) applications could be accommodated this year. The fellows accepted to the Program will be mentored online by Glenn Sevilla Mas, a multi-award-winning playwright. They will be given access to watch recordings of selected past festival plays, as well as the opportunity to participate in the talkback and interaction with known playwright and directors. The Fellowship Program will conclude in an online staged reading of the fellows’ works directed by Dennis Marasigan on December 4 & 5, 2021.

The Virgin Labfest 16 Writing Fellowship Program is a project of the CCP Artist Training Division of the Arts Education Department.
