In 2020, the program took a new form as a result of the ongoing pandemic and quarantine.  The mentorship was done virtually and utilized the new media platforms to engage the participants from different provinces.  For 2021, the same format will be used and the modules to be conducted include arts and production management, production design, venue operations, technical theater, and digital asset management trends and tools.  CCP’s in-house experts will compose this year’s mentors and facilitators and other prominent resource speakers from the various fields.  A series of colloquiums with arts and culture masters and specialists is also part of the program.

A total of thirty (30) apprentices have been accepted to the 2021 KSS Apprenticeship Program coming from 14 provinces and local communities: 13 apprentices from Luzon (Guiguinto, Malolos, Biñan, Legaspi, Angeles); 11 from Visayas (Bacolod, Murcia, Himamaylan, Dumaguete, Capiz, Catarman); and 6 from Mindanao (Iligan, Pagadian, Samal Islands).

With CCP continuously opening its doors for the regional practitioners to gain more knowledge and become more skilled at the different work areas in arts, culture, and theater management, the flourishing of arts, culture, and theater programs, events, and activities all over the country is anticipated.
