Meet the Mentor: K-Novelist Book Talk Show
Join KCC as it features renowned mystery-thriller author Jeong Youjeong at the “K-Lit: Turning Pages of Korea,” a modern Korean literature pop-up exhibition.
The Meet the Mentor series, known for its commitment to cultural education through workshops, seminars, and talks, returns with an exploration of Korean literature. Jeong Youjeong, the award-winning author of the international bestseller The Good Son and Seven Years of Darkness, will take the audience on a journey through the intricacies of her unique storytelling. Translated and published in 22 countries, she has garnered global acclaim for their distinctive style and profound exploration of the “backside of human nature.” Her works feature compelling narratives, intricate plots, bold prose, and vibrant characters that transcend the boundaries between fiction and reality.
Meet the Mentor: K-Novelist Book Talk Show, in partnership with the National Library of the Philippines, Rizal Library, and Fully Booked, will be held from October 10 to 11 at the National Library of the Philippines, Rizal Library – Ateneo de Manila University, and Fully Booked BGC High Street Branch. Jump into the world of K-literature
This immersive exhibition happening from October 13 to November 18 at the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines invites visitors to delve deeper into Korean modern literature through displays of one hundred Korean books and special sections dedicated to four main books.
Explore these specialized corners showcasing internationally acknowledged books and novelists, including Jeong Youjeong’s Seven Years of Darkness, Son Wonpyung‘s Almond, and Cheon Meyung-gwan‘s Whale. These sections offer diverse genres such as mystery, young adult, and fantasy, ensuring a unique literary experience for everyone.

The “K-Lit: Turning Pages of Korea” exhibit is open to the public from October 13 to November 18, Monday to Saturday (excluding holidays) from 9 am to 4 pm at the 5F Multipurpose Hall of KCC located in Taguig City. No registration needed.
