The Awarding Ceremony saw the winners, Board of Jurors, past winners, media, and the Philippine design innovation community gather together to celebrate Good Design. “Filipinos are well-known to be naturally creative but what really makes Philippine design stand out is malasakit,” shared Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Irineo Vizmonte.

“Design is good not only when it is technically sound but when it is also good for people,” said DTI Design Center Philippines Executive Creative Director Rhea Matute

The event was also attended by the Design Center of the Philippines’ partners from UNDP Philippines, ASEAN Japan Centre, and the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.
