Awards: McCann Worldgroup agencies obtain the best results in Peru and Chile at El Sol Festival

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA — McCann Lima and McCann Santiago, part of McCann Worldgroup network, obtained the best results recorded by agencies in their respective countries in El Sol, the most important advertising communication festival in Ibero-America.

The first operation was even decisive for the positioning of the creativity of Peru, by accumulating 7 of the 13 awards achieved by offices located in that nation and which led to it being part of the Top 3 of the show after Spain and the United States.

McCann Lima obtained one of the five Grand Prix awarded in the event, as well as two golds, three silvers and a bronze for his work for Burger King Peru and Liga Peruana contra el Cáncer.

Max Gutiérrez, CEO of the subsidiary, said that “we are very happy to help positively to position the country with one of its attributes that generates the greatest pride, which is creativity. McCann Lima has been consistent in standing out both on that level and on that of effectiveness, recently we added 51 nominations in Effie Peru. Meanwhile, McCann Santiago obtained a gold in Media category for We-commerce, developed for Entel Empresas, and a bronze in Printed Media for Greenpeace. José Solari, Creative Director General of the agency, highlighted that “now, in a very competitive context, we made them pay attention to what we are doing for important clients, our creativity is at their service so that their brands continue to be meaningful and impacting their priority audiences”.

At the same time, Guillermo Melero, CEO of the agency, stated that “continuing to show leadership only reflects the great talent and commitment of the team we have. That the joint effort is recognized at festivals means that we are doing well for our clients and that our search for better ideas and excellence is well under way”.
