This year, she has more than 100 clients since joining the industry.
Grape Chua’s definition of rewarding is a well-rounded life that isn’t defined by the nine-to-five office grind. Like Legas, what Grape enjoys most about being an AIA Life Planner is the freedom to chart his course. With full-time and part-time arrangements available, it’s a career that keeps things flexible, allowing him to pursue more of what he loves. Today, Grape gets to travel in some of the most exciting places in the world such as South Korea, Japan, and Australia, and finds time for his hobbies and enjoyment, all while making a positive impact in other people’s lives.
Meanwhile, being able to empower people through leadership is what drives Eric Nicdao. Currently the head of his own agency, AIA Life Planners at Miracle Financials, his previous years were spent searching for his calling. Six of them were spent in the seminary, others in the corporate world. His search ultimately led him to AIA Philippines, where he now finds joy in guiding the next generation of purpose-driven professional Life Planners, so they, too, can build and lead their own teams.

In Divina Cervantes’ case, it presented itself by chance. With initial plans of working overseas as a healthcare professional, Divina found herself heading down a different road. She realized that by working as an AIA Life Planner, she never needed to give up her desire to travel. Able to enjoy performance-based rewards, free travel, exciting incentives, and other bonuses, Divina is thriving today as one of the youngest senior unit managers in AIA Philippines. Life balance, for her, means a career that lets her live her dream of seeing the world.
Working with a Heart
The idea that “better starts with you” is one of the things that drew Eryl Rio to AIA Philippines. Finding purpose in a life of service, Eryl spent a large portion of her career as a surgical ICU nurse abroad. After coming home to help manage the family business, she found an opportunity to extend her care to others beyond hospital setting. This is where she began her life as an AIA Life Planner. This opportunity also coincided with a series of personal life events that showed her just how valuable life insurance can be. Following her father’s death, Eryl had a newfound appreciation for her work as a Life Planner because of her role’s immense potential to help other people in times of need. Given access to AIA programs that help her and other AIA Life Planners to think, feel, plan, and live well, she today works to pay things forward.
In Lizette Amistad’s story, working with a heart meant finding a career setting where passion can meet action. Her love for mathematics and numbers ultimately paved the way for a life-changing career that helps others. Previously, she worked as a financial analyst, making her way up the corporate ladder as a corporate executive, when she realized she was craving a different setting: one where her three passions meet. As an AIA Life Planner, Lizette gets to keep herself sharp as a professional who always strives for excellence. She champions the welfare and well-being of the people she serves. Finally, she gets to provide the best to her family.
