MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) collaborated with the Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines (CCIP) for a special activity called “Serbisyo Para Kay Juana” in line with the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC).
Held at the ARTA head office in Quezon City, the event provided a free skincare and make-up seminar to ARTA female employees. This initiative aimed to inspire and empower women to embrace opportunities and reach their full potential, fostering a more diverse and inclusive ARTA workplace.
The partnership stemmed from a courtesy visit by CCIP to ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez. During the visit, discussions on potential collaborations to promote a smoother business environment within the cosmetics industry were held.
Representatives from CCIP include CCIP Executive Vice President for External Affairs Jenny Nunez, CCIP Vice President for Information Publication & Public Affairs Denice Sy, and CCIP Secretariat Melissa Cesar. Leading the skincare and make-up seminar were resource speakers from CCIP-member company, Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc. namely, Direct Sales Supervisor Raizelyn Del Rosario Marcos and Direct Sales Specialist Leslie Tabuzo Dorado.
“Serbisyo Para Kay Juana” aligns with the government’s push for Gender and Development (GAD) mainstreaming as mandated by Republic Act No. 9710, also known as the Magna Carta of Women. The event is one of many initiatives undertaken by ARTA to empower women and contribute to a more inclusive Philippines.
The seminar concluded with a giveaway of selected Ever Bilena products as a token of appreciation for the employees’ active participation. ARTA’s commitment to empowering women signifies their dedication to building a more inclusive “Bagong Pilipinas” (New Philippines).
