MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Foundever, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, has partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to boost the employability of Filipino youth through programs that provide world-class training and internships.
Representatives from both parties recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as partners in rolling out the government’s JobStart Philippines Program and the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) through DOLE Regional Offices across the Philippines.
As a leader in the global CX industry, Foundever is in a crucial position to empower students powerfully and effectively and equip Filipino youth with the right skills and tools that will make them valuable assets to the national workforce and the national economy.
According to Talent Acquisition Director Rowel Villalobos and Head for the University & Community Partnership and Language Academy at Foundever, the terms of the MOU are set for implementation across all Foundever sites in the country. Notably, both Foundever and DOLE have embraced the use of PhilJobNet, providing free access to Language Academy training.
“Our collaboration with DOLE underscores the essential role of the Government- Industry-Academe Partnerships in creating opportunities for job seekers and boosting business growth nationwide,” Rowel said.
He added, “Through partnerships like this, we are eagerly anticipating a leveling up of skill levels and mindsets among young people in the employment landscape, as we work hand-in-hand with DOLE to make a meaningful, growth-oriented impact.”
For his part, DOLE Assistant Secretary Paul Vincent Añover, who represented the Labor Department in the MOU signing, said that corporate/employer-partners like Foundever are crucial in making the government’s socio-economic agenda and the Philippine Development Plan successful.
“This partnership also benefits Foundever by giving them the opportunity to invest in these young Filipino talents, and thus develop a pool of highly skilled and motivated individuals who could later contribute to their organization’s growth and success,” he noted.
