Ogilvy signs cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University’s Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (ICCSD) to promote climate communications

BEIJING, CHINA — Ogilvy yesterday signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University’s Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (ICCSD) to provide businesses with high-impact solutions related to climate change and sustainable development and promote the institute’s data-driven research platform.

The partnership aims to bring ICCSD’s valuable academic research and Ogilvy’s global branding expertise together to elevate the image and international profile of the institute, whilst helping corporations across industries leverage data-driven insights to inform their strategic decisions in regards to climate change sustainable transition. 

Specifically, Ogilvy will act as a global brand planning and communications partner, helping ICCSD’s conceptualize and build an integrated database compiling their extensive collection of data and research, in line with the Institute’s commitment to support China’s low-carbon development transformation objectives.

The agreement signing ceremony was hosted by Zheng Li, President of the ICCSD, who commented: “Climate change is one of the greatest threats of our time, and requires urgent action. This cooperation between our Institute and Ogilvy aims to accelerate and facilitate the adoption of sustainable solutions by corporations across industries, through a new type of data platform powered by our world-class research resources and Ogilvy’s branding capabilities.”
