MANILA, PHILIPPINES — At Go Negosyo’s Women Summit 2025: Women Breaking Boundaries, all eyes were on one of the biggest digital disruptors in the e-commerce space: TikTok Shop. It stepped into the spotlight to celebrate and empower the women reshaping entrepreneurship in the Philippines.
With social commerce rapidly becoming the new frontier of entrepreneurial success, TikTok Shop underscored how its platform is fueling the growth of women-led businesses—turning content creation into a thriving source of income and brand-building.
From live selling tools to bite-sized storytelling content, TikTok Shop is helping business owners connect more deeply with their audiences, drive conversions, and scale their impact. It’s not just a platform—it’s a launchpad.

Recognizing the growing influence of digital commerce, Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion underscored how technology is reshaping the entrepreneurial landscape. He emphasized that with the right platforms and resources, women entrepreneurs can scale their businesses more efficiently, reach wider markets, and sustain long-term growth in an increasingly digital-driven economy.
“Digital commerce is transforming the way Filipino MSMEs grow, and women entrepreneurs are at the forefront of this shift. e-Commerce platforms are empowering them to scale their businesses, connect with customers nationwide, and build sustainable brands through content-driven engagement. Go Negosyo is proud to collaborate with TikTok Shop and other online marketplaces in equipping small business owners with the right tools, insights, and networks to thrive in the digital economy,” Concepcion said.

During the summit, Joanna Tantoco, TikTok Shop’s Category Lead for Health and Mom & Baby, introduced the platform’s ACE Framework (Assortment, Content, Empowerment) as a strategic roadmap that helps sellers thrive in the digital marketplace.
She also spotlighted inspiring case studies of Filipina entrepreneurs who are redefining success with a smartphone, creativity, and a little help from TikTok Shop.
- Cley’s Food Products, a once-homegrown brand, is now creating jobs for 15 people thanks to its viral content and live shopping strategies.
- Wellness Whispers, the wellness label by entrepreneur and content creator Dani Barretto, has built a self-care movement while boosting digital sales.
- Tiny Buds, a mom and baby favorite, is making e-commerce not just profitable but purposeful, championing causes like Make-A-Wish Philippines while expanding their community driven brand through TikTok storytelling.

The summit also paid tribute to exceptional women entrepreneurs blazing trails in their industries. Among the honorees was Abbie Ricohermoso, founder of Josefina’s Homemade Food, who was recognized as one of Go Negosyo’s Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs with the award presented by First Lady Liza Marcos, Joey Concepcion, and DTI Secretary Cristina Roque.
TikTok Shop’s presence at the summit is part of its broader mission to build a more inclusive and empowered digital economy. Through partnerships with Go Negosyo, DTI, and initiatives like Buy Local, Shop Local, TikTok Shop is providing entrepreneurs with more than just a platform, it’s offering access, education, and a supportive community to help women thrive online.
