MANILA, PHILIPPINES — If you could interview your boss completely unfiltered, what would you ask them? It turns out that at a company as diverse and as dynamic as Sun Life, it’s all about how the pieces work together. We asked a Sun Life executive, employee, and agent to sit down and interview each other for the debut of Unfiltered. In this new video format, adobo Magazine invites co-workers at different employment levels to ask each other absolutely anything.

Sun Life is one of the world’s most recognized financial services companies. It maintains a very strong presence in the Philippines due to its wide array of solutions, including life insurance, financial planning, investment options, retirement savings, and more. In this episode of Sun Life Unfiltered, we get to learn more about their warm culture, the unique challenges of being an agent, and why pink hair is a sign of comfort within the company.

Interviewing each other in the video are Sun Life’s Chief Distribution Officer Al Quitangon, Head of Transformation Experience Design Nabeth Gaston, and Financial Advisor and Unit Manager Julius Eusebio. The three quickly learn about why Al thinks keeping a diverse group of people around is important in maintaining an inspiring work environment, how Nabeth’s kids are learning from listening to her meetings, and why Julius’ background as a teacher affected his ability to secure clients — among other things.
