MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The creative industry is brimming with tons of amazing ideas, so it’s no surprise that there’s never a shortage of great campaigns to admire and celebrate.
From gripping stories and new perspectives that embody what a brand stands for to new fun ways people can engage with a brand, here are campaigns that caught adobo Magazine’s eye this week:
A laidback but trippy film to launch the new Kvadrat x Raf Simons collection
Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat and Belgian world-renowned designer Raf Simons launched their new collaboration with this trippy film by Bacon. The film combined cartoon characters exploring the clean shots of nature and some items from the new collection laid out in a minimalist room. Not only does this create a delightfully surreal film that makes each shot interesting and dynamic, but the inclusion of the small, colorful animated elements emphasized the contemporary and sleek details of the stylish collection.
Lego and Nitro Circus’ high-adrenaline collab that packs a punch
What better way to promote the Lego City Stuntz range than to partner with a leader in action sports? Lego’s new campaign is a collaboration with Nitro Circus for its 2022 Australian tour, and it doesn’t hold back on the extreme. This series of activations by Initiative and Mediabrands Content Studio doesn’t hold back on the fun and goosebump-inducing thrills as the campaign included LEGO installations at Nitro Circus’s Australia tour, fan days with Nitro’s extreme athlete talent, a custom LEGO City Vehicle used for a signature Nitro Circus stunt, and more.
Ice Breaker’s new campaign illustrates its disclaimer in the best way
The new campaign for brewing company Greene King’s Ice Breaker is a humorous play on the pale ale’s name. In a series of short videos by Engine Creative, different people navigating awkward situations desperately look to the Ice Breaker they have in hand to help them. But even as they depend on the drink, they just end up making the situation even more cringe-worthy. Each one is concluded with a voiceover saying “Ice Breaker. It’s just a name.” emphasizing the reminder in the funniest way.
Kickers takes back-to-school fashion to metaverse
For shoe manufacturing brand Kickers UK’s back-to-school campaign, Dubit brings the footwear to the metaverse via Roblox, one of the world’s leading online game platforms. As a brand that always aims to nurture children’s self-expression and creativity, embedding Kickers into Fashion Famous and Shoe Simulator, top fashion-related metaverse games, was the perfect way to do so with many kids now socializing and finding themselves in the virtual world.
