LISBON, PORTUGAL —Aldrin, the cryptocurrency specialist brand has unveiled a funny and straight-to-the-point marketing campaign that is encouraging people to think twice on how they save their money.
Do it different, devised by creative agency Adouken, shows in a funny way how just saving on your daily coffee money can gigantically change people’s savings in the long term.
By literally putting face to face Dwight and Jim, two office worker colleagues, the brand makes it obvious the contrast between the life of a coffee-addicted person and one that makes different and more money considerate choices. Actually these choices end up letting Jim “cut the time he works in half”.
The execution is summed up at the end by the no-brainer and striking message ‘With Aldrin, you can easily put your coffee money to work, instead of working for coffee money”.
The campaign comprises a film execution to be shared online. It was creatively directed by ADOUKEN’s founders – Nuno Gomes and Pedro Eloi, and directed by João Rito through Push Films.
Joah Santos, Chief Marketing Officer at ALDRIN says: “We have a mission which is to help people understand that 50 years of having to work is ridiculous and anyone can cut that in half if they start early. We needed to push that out in a unique way in a really short time frame. I’ve been in marketing for 20+ years and ADOUKEN and Push Films were both rockstars and my new secret weapon.“

“Knowing Joah’s approach to every briefing, it was clear from the beginning that we needed to communicate the product benefit whilst delivering relatable visuals to support it – as we developed the concept, the idea of having this two distinct characters doing things “their way” in a shared space, seemed like the right space to explore. From there, the film came to life with João and PUSH FILMS’ team who did an amazing job – it was great to see every part involved being agile, proactive and knowing exactly what to do.”
João Rito, Director at PUSH FILMS concludes: “Most of the time the simple scripts are the more challenging ones. Aldrin’s was one of those examples. My job was to give a touch of dynamic and directing the actors to make sure that we had the right expression for each moment of the film. We also decided to use the full sensor for this film to give him a distinct look and vibe. The entire team did a wonderful job.”
