Campaign Spotlight: BBDO Bangkok’s film for Ford is about adventures worth having

BANGKOK, THAILAND – BBDO Bangkok‘s latest campaign for Ford redefines adventure away from the conventional going off-road, climbing mountains and crossing rivers to taking risks that transform them forever.

The film, “Marathon” tells the story of a marathon runner’s daughter who has never finished a long distance run before in her life.

With the help of her Ford Everest, she balances her career and life and keeps going through her ‘adventure’ throughout the story, without anyone knowing the reason why she’s doing all this.

“We found out that most of our SUV drivers were not necessary off road or outdoor enthusiasts. They are urban productive people who have to balance their work with their personal life and continuously deliver well. Adventure for them is more about going through the challenges that life throws at them than climbing mountains,” Ford Team said in a statement.

The campaign was inspired by the potential drivers of the vehicle. Hinging on the insight that the outdoors are not the only need and dream of Ford drivers.

“We believe that there’s an adventure behind every life goal, it may not always be an adventure in the traditional sense of a physical or geographical adventure, however, it’s an adventure nonetheless. In a category that demands versatility, the Everest is almost over-equipped, making it possible to support whatever adventure lies in the heart of the driver,” commented the BBDO Bangkok Team.
