BBDO Guerrero recently launched a two-day activation stunt for Doublemint Malaysia at the Wisma Cosway Bus Station in Kuala Lumpur. The ‘Arrive Fresh’ campaign speaks to everyday commuters with the message that there’s nothing like chewing a minty stick of gum to freshen up the rush hour grind.
In the bingo-inspired Doublemint Commuters’ Game, waiting passengers were given the chance to play and win prizes by simply standing in line on numbered floor decals. With the arrival of the bus came the big reveal of the winner standing on the lucky number. The experience brought excitement to the everyday commute and got people to connect with each other.
The sessions were also streamed via Facebook Live wherein people who were tuned in joined the game by guessing the winning number in the comments section to get a prize.
The activation was a gamechanger. The brand successfully engaged and recaptured their entire fanbase of more than 63,000 with an organic growth of almost 400 in just 2 days.
Pek Kuan Yee, Category Business Unit Director – Developing Asia for MARS Wrigley, shares: “It’s hard to commute every day to school or to work and you need something to at least stay fresh. And this is something that Doublemint wants to address – staying fresh to always have the confidence to create meaningful connections. We’re very happy with how BBDO Guerrero has answered this brief with a very engaging activation.”
David Guerrero, BBDO Guerrero Creative Chairman, adds: “This idea brings the brand’s promise to life in a tangible way, freshening up the daily commute. We’re delighted to have had the opportunity to work with our clients in this exciting initiative.”
