UNITED KINGDOM — Anyone can be a good chef. That much is true as seen in Danish butter brand Lurpak’s latest film by Wieden + Kennedy that puts epic back into homemade kitchen meals, while showcasing the immense power a good meal holds. A cook could heal the sick, feed the masses, raise the dead, and end wars — all with a scrumptious meal made with Lurpak, depicted not in literal frames but scintillating scenes.

Entitled “Where There Are Cooks”, the film’s story is told by a narrator straight out of a movie trailer, making us want to pick up one of our old recipes and get cracking in the kitchen. Several cooking procedures were also showcased in the ad — from classic scrambled egg dishes, to savory pancake stacks, and extravagant lamb meatball platters — which are existing recipes on the Lurpak website that fans can follow straight from their homes.

The film wraps up with an invitation to choose your weapon: a spatula? A ladle? Or maybe your trusty old pair of tongs? Save the forgotten ingredients in your fridge, and get cooking. As the film says, “The world needs more cooks, because where there are cooks, there is hope”.

Here’s a little throwback with one of our old Wieden + Kennedy films for Lurpak:
