Cannes Lions 2015: Events on the beach

FRANCE – Part of the magic of Cannes is the location. White sandy beaches, crystal clear blue waters and blazing sunshine make it a world-famous destination. So it makes perfect sense to enjoy part of the Festival in these incredible surroundings.

Each morning on the new Cannes Lions Beach in partnership with The MMA, three CMOs from different industry groups will take part in an informal discussion that focuses on the client perspective of creativity. Moderated by the Economist, each of these sessions is a hotline into the mind and motivation of the world’s leading CMOs.

There’s so much going on in Cannes that it’s not possible to see and do everything. What better way to catch up with the day’s events from inside the Palais des Festivals than with the new daily Sundowner sessions at the Cannes Lions Beach?

WAKE UP WITH THE ECONOMIST
The Clientside: Meet & mingle with the world’s most creative marketers

Start each day of your Festival in style at the Cannes Lions Beach with some beach-side breakfast and the chance to meet the world’s most creative marketers.

Agencies may think that creativity is theirs to own and sell, but change and chaos in the industry is changing the status quo. Clients are increasingly setting new creative agendas, digital technology has opened more doors of communication, relationship tenures are getting shorter and the AOR concept is no longer the only way of working. In this unsettled world of opportunity and chaos, now is the time to understand how the CMO mindset works.

If there are things about clients you find mystifying, or you think it’s hard to meet top level marketers, then this is the networking event you’ve been looking for.

Wake Up With The Economist is a daily panel and networking event that features three CMOs from a broad range of industry groups. Together with Daniel Franklin, Executive Editor at The Economist and Editor of The World in 2015, panellists will discuss their own perspectives on industry issues and examine the true value of creativity in the challenges they face.

THE SUNDOWNER SESSIONS
