BUENOS AIRES – In order to overcome the fierce competition for consumer preference in a country that is used to price-oriented campaigns due to its constant double-digit inflation, Sodimac Homecenter added value to a regular retail promotion by associating it with the company pet-friendly policy, launched in 2017.
Created by McCann Buenos Aires, the Pet Friendly Prices campaign not only invited pet owners to bring their beloved domestic animals to the store but also gave the pets a special mission: to guide their owners through the best offers in the stores.
By spraying scents appealing to pets – such as meat, chicken and pork scent – in the tags of selected offers, the promotion teased the animals to be attracted to specific items, therefore driving their owners attention to them.
