NEW YORK, USA— Popeye’s latest campaign “Hottie Sauce” stars American rapper Megan Thee Stallion via agency GUT Miami. The spot was directed by Fela’a Kajal where Megan drops a beat and goes “Stallion-Mode” to come to the rescue in an epic showdown for her beloved Hottie Sauce.
It opens with a wild Western setting in a saloon where Megan was informed that someon stole her Hottie Sauce. She then goes in a motorcycle to chase the culprit. The setting turns into an animation until the stand off where she successfully retrieved it for Popeye’s.

The modern-day Western blends music video elements, vibrant 2D animated sequences, comedic action, and an adorable dog cameo by Megan Thee Stallion’s frenchie.
This is the second collaboration between director Kajal and Megan Thee Stallion, who have a strong creative partnership and previously worked together on the transformative documentary short “Protecting Women of Color,” published by the New York Times.
