Campaign Spotlight: “Nasa saya ‘yan!”, a TNT campaign inspired by teens to inspire teens

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – After almost 8 months of lockdown, the monotony has taken a toll on everyone. The youth, especially, have it hard. The law forbids anyone below 21 to leave their house and it was only in October when the MMDA lowered this age to 18.

Deprived of their usual activities with friends, many are left in the doldrums.

TNT recognizes that though we can’t change the crisis, we can change our mindset.

Nasa Saya ‘Yan! (Translation: Happiness is in your hands.) is TNT’s latest campaign by Ace Saatchi & Saatchi that aims to do just that.

The campaign reminds the youth that our happiness depends on how we see things, and that having a positive mindset can really change how one feels. We wanted to create a message that people could feel and participate in. So we wrote our message into a danceable song which was then sung by Asia’s Pop Princess, Sarah G with rapper Aikee.

Inspired by actual videos posted by Filipino teens on social media, the song’s accompanying music video features different realities that the youth face today, and shows the viewers how these resilient teens were able to turn negativity into something fun, light, and enjoyable with a little help from TNT.

Likewise, the music video also introduces a new dance to the viewers. Choreographed by no other than G-Force, the force (pun intended) behind Sarah G’s Tala, the dance is energetic, fun to do, and just makes you feel…happy. Go ahead, try it for yourself.

Watch the video here and even though things might not be perfect right now, it will hopefully put a smile on your face and remind you, teen or not, that happiness is indeed in your hands.
