Manila, Philippines – TBWA\SMP and Nissan Philippines has launched film ahead of the Holy Week long weekend – one of the busiest times of year in the Philippines as families usually use the extended long weekend to go on long drives visiting churches (Visita Iglesia), family, or short vacations.
However, when the smartest, most responsible thing to do is to stay home, the situation brings a whole new meaning to Nissan’s ‘Intelligent Mobility’.
Launching across social platforms, Nissan reminds us that while exciting trips await us, the most meaningful thing to do right now is #ParkTheJourney.
Said Dino Obias, General Manager – Marketing, Nissan “The intention of this short video is to remind our fellowmen of the importance and the privilege of staying home amidst this crisis – especially at this time when Filipinos are usually using this opportunity to enjoy long drives during the Holy Week break.
“We appreciated the fact that despite its simplicity of the film it has maximum impact. The Nissan brand normally exudes excitement and adventures, but for now, it’s time to park the journey and this video clearly illustrates that.”
The film, developed by TBWA\SMP Philippines was created by Nissan owners, who took footage of their own cars via their mobile phones, parked in their respective homes. Lock down in the Philippines, which began on March 17, has been extended to April 30
Concluded Dino Obias; “ The rawness plus the authenticity of the footage beautifully captures the environment we are all currently living. And the copy (script, hashtag, caption) conveys a strong relevance between an automotive company and current challenges in humanity.”
