MANILA, PHILIPPINES – As the leading pizza chain in the Philippines, Pizza Hut continues to adapt and innovate. This applies not only to flavor, but also to service, food quality, and technology.
For its new pizza flavor, the Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza, Pizza Hut partnered with Ogilvy & Mather to help mount a clever viral campaign.

Media outlets like Spot.ph and We the Pvblic picked up the viral story, taking to their readers to help decode why would Pizza Hut offer unlimited cold water to its diners.

Pizza lovers from all over the archipelago put their bets in: Some thought it was an early April Fools’ joke. Others thought it signaled a collab with Mimiyuuuh, a YouTuber who made the “drink your water, b*tch” meme famous.

Many Pizza Hut fans got it right: “Gotta be a spicy pizza behind this,” comments Facebook user Nesia Sawant. And on January 14th, Pizza Hut unveiled its new Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza, which adds delectable chili pepper flakes to the pizza’s crust stuffing.

The announcement drew raves from publications and pizza lovers alike. “They’ve been at this game–and ahead of it—for a long time,” notes Michiko Manalag of Spot.ph. “[The Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust] is probably a guaranteed hit.”
