Young creatives learn from ‘Creative Conversations’

GLOBAL – UNITED STATES, OCTOBER 1, 2012 – Sixty junior creative from across the globe – including BBDO Guerrero art director Corey Cruz and DDB Philippines senior copywriter Donna Dimayuga – gathered for the last day of Creative Conversations with Neil French, Scott Elias, Faris Yakob and Jonathon Ker.
 
Guest speaker Sonal Dabral, national creative director at DDB Mudra, opened his session with a performance of his favorite Bollywood song. He shared about career experiences and offered gems of encouragement.
 
The final panel for the day – author Phil Growick, Leo Burnett USA CCO Susan Credle, Droga5 NY ECD Ted Royer, CP+B ECD Tony Calcao, DDB UK ECD Jeremy Craigen and Y&R Toronto CCO Israel Diaz – discussed their first experiences when they started out in the ad industry and how they overcame their fears and fought for their ideas.
 
Ted Royer advised the young creatives, “Don’t ask permission – just say sorry”, revealing that his inspiration to enter the advertising industry was the TV show Bewitched.
