Campaign Spotlight: Sweetshop launches new campaign for OnePlus 9RT

SHANGHAI, CHINA — Sweetshop Shanghai has launched a brand film for OnePlus’ new device OnePlus 9RT.

Written and directed by Sebastien Guy, the production was filmed as an action micro movie, complete with dramatic stunt scenes, fast cars, and high-tech gadgets. The device’s new features and unique selling proposition are listed one-by-one through intelligent scripting and dialogue between the actors.

Director Sebastien Guy said, “We all had a lot of fun working on this film. The fact OnePlus gave us the trust and freedom to write and create a James Bond style micro film, was what got everyone excited. It was rewarding to incorporate the phone and earbuds’ specifics organically into an entertaining film. Everyone’s hard work and the client’s willingness to be fresh and creative made it all come together seamlessly. I hope OnePlus fans enjoy the film as much as we enjoyed making it.”

The short action movie was filmed in Kiev and production took place over three days in various locations. Actors for the film flew in from South Africa and Poland, making the production process a truly global experience.

The film also transports viewers into a world filled with action and mystery, thanks to its elaborate production design. Sweetshop’s team filmed in an underground lab, as well as other locations with extreme environments and temperatures, mirroring the rigorous testing that the high-performance OnePlus 9RT endures.
