BANGKOK, THAILAND – For many years Thailand health officials have been trying to educate its citizens on the danger of secondhand smoke. Some smokers may be aware of that and try to distance their smoking in order to avoid harming others. However, most people do not know that the toxic smoke travel farther than what they thought, and faraway doesn’t necessarily mean safe.
To address this, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation partnered with creative agency Alpha 245 Thailand to educate smokers and non-smokers of this fact through a Retro Thai style short film.
Although the film is completely in Thai, the message is clear: unlike gun fighting, smoking does not need a target to harm others. Moreover, there is no safe distance from hazardous smoke.
