MANILA – A new year always means fresh starts and new beginnings, with people feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation for whatever it will bring. This is the sentiment that McDonald’s wanted to embody in their newest ad, which launches the new Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet and stars the ever bubbly Maine Mendoza in her first TVC of the year.

Cruising down a highway while singing along to South Border’s 2005 hit “Rainbow,” Maine once again showcases the effervescent personality that has made her TV’s Phenomenal Star. She takes her sweet time basking in the sunshine along with her new friend, a cute and cuddly white stuffed teddy bear. She then makes a pit stop at a McDonald’s Drive-Thru where she experiences their latest offering– the Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet! The video ends by celebrating a “life that is so beautiful,” with Maine parking her car in front of a park and taking a bite out of the all new Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet.

Christina Lao, Marketing Director for McDonald’s Philippines, shares that, “We wanted to start the year with an inspiring TVC about starting fresh because we were also introducing something new. The Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet is a lusciously rich addition to McDonald’s best-selling Chicken Fillet Range, and there’s no better way to start the New Year than with an exciting new product.”

On deciding to feature Maine Mendoza, Lao adds, “Through the years, McDonald’s has always been part of Maine’s evolution into a bonafide star and 2018 is no different. Her authenticity and lightheartedness have always been a perfect fit for the brand and we are excited to start the year with her on a positive, fun, and free-spirited note.”

For those who want to try something new for the year, McDonald’s Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet starts at P55 for solo orders and is available any time of the day at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. You can also order through mcdelivery.com.ph or using the McDo PH app.
