SINGAPORE – Singaporean Olympian Joseph Schooling has graced the headlines of every news after beating his idol and champion swimmer, Michael Phelps, in the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics, winning Singapore’s first ever Olympic gold medal.
This 21-year-old swimmer who the world is only starting to know today has already made a name in his hometown and in the Asian region. During the 2015 SEA Games, Schooling took home nine gold medals. He is a multi-time All-American and World Championships bronze medalist at the University of Texas.
