MANILA – Whether you’re karaoke fan or enjoy working up a sweat during a basketball game, you’d be sure to find a Spotify playlist specific to these moments. This July, Spotify rolled out a playlist campaign that highlights locally loved playlists weaved with unique cultural nuances specific to the Philippines.
From Asia’s romantic balladeer Christian Bautista’s sentimental “Pinoy Love Ballads” video clip, to empathetic ad messages such as “#Hugot is a 3 hour playlist—but it’s okay if you cried for 5,” Spotify’s creative tone features the rich and diverse musicality that is seen in the Philippines through fun localized messages.
“Playlists are a way for people to express and showcase their creativity; it is truly a representation of specific moments in their lives. Our users not only have the opportunity to curate their own playlists but they have a library of over two billion playlists to explore. This campaign is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with our Filipino fans and encourage them to be part of the Spotify conversation,” says June Sauvaget, Head of Consumer Marketing for Spotify, Asia.
