MIAMI, FLORIDA – After more than a decade out of Super Bowl sights, Cheetos is returning with a big one! First of all, their new ad is a celebration for 30 years of the song “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer. The ad also reminds us why we all love Cheeto dust, or Cheetle as the company calls it. And lastly, the ad is downright funny and features Stanley Kirk Burrell or MC Hammer himself.

The ad starts off by introducing PepsiCo Frito-Lay’s newest creation: Cheetos Popcorn. The new snack has the satisfying softness and crunch combo every popcorn has, but perhaps better because it’s covered in beloved Cheetle dust all over.

The ad is funny because it appeals to the lazy man inside all of us, suggesting an idea for when we don’t want to help out – eat a lot of Cheetos popcorn, then get Cheetos fingers so you can’t help anyone out.  The 30-second film by Goodby Silverstein & Partners and directed by Harold Einstein paints different scenarios with MC Hammer popping in random places as he follows a man around. And whenever he’s asked for help – oops, sorry, he can’t. He’s got Cheetos fingers.

Need help with some documents? Sorry. Need a spotter for when you lift weights? Can’t. Want him to hold your baby? The guy probably thinks, “Sorry, not sorry”.

(But really, isn’t the joy of eating Cheetos finishing off the cheese dust on your fingers, too?)
