MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The creative industry is brimming with tons of amazing ideas, so it’s no surprise that there’s never a shortage of great campaigns to admire and celebrate.
From gripping stories and new perspectives that embody what a brand stands for to new fun ways people can engage with a brand, here are campaigns that caught adobo Magazine’s eye this week:
Altered for truth and comfort
Durring the Metro Manila Pride Parade at Makati Circuit Grounds, GIGIL and RIOtaso teamed up to empower members of the LGBTQIA+ community to express themselves freely and comfortably through clothes alteration.
Through the initiative, garments can be altered to suit everybody’s individual style, allowing everyone to fully embrace their true colors.
Couples’ right to care
The Quezon City Government and MullenLowe TREYNA has created a health card that would allow queer couples to make medical decisions for each other.
The Right to Care Card will authorize cardholders to agree, refuse, or withdraw consent of any type of medical care for their partners through a Special Power of Attorney (SPA). This addresses the exclusion of same-sex couples’ from being able to decide for their respective partners.
Skittles bring queer joy outdoors
To ensure that future archives will be diverse, representative and inclusive, Skittles together with GAY TIMES, Queer Britain and Getty Images has launched an outdoor exhibition called “Queer Joy.”
The exhibit is an unfiltered showcase of 50 striking portraits of queer people, captured by emerging LGBTQ+ photographers from the UK and around the world.
Trans inividuals get Rebirth Certificates
Using NFTs and minting it in the blockchain, Propel Manila and Pride@Tech are strengthening its support for gender identity recognition through the Rebirth Certificates. This initiative will give trans Filipinos and Filipinas a proper documentation that aligns with their gender identities.
The Rebirth Certificates has just launched and will be integrated it into workplaces that are supportive of diversity, inclusion, and pride.
Her happy place
After sponsoring Pride March 2022, McDonald’s has released a feel-good film that says it does not shy away from gender inclusivity. Made with TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, the ad shows a young skater girl repeatedly ordering from the store’s female Ride-Thru crew.
Apart from featuring GL (Girl Love) story, the lighthearted spot aims to show hoe McDonald’s is safe for everyone to come back to again and again.
Here’s a look back at adobo magazine’s weekly campaign picks.
