Wallace Bishop highlights the genuine heart and spirit of an Aussie Christmas in new spot by Ogilvy and The Producers

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Family-run jewelry and giftware business Wallace Bishop has launched a distinctly Australian Christmas campaign focussed on family gift-giving.

Developed by Ogilvy in conjunction with The Producers, the “What They Wished For” campaign is now live across Australia, spanning several TVCs, a long-form online film, digital, social media, and out-of-home executions. Directed by Olivia Altavilla, it tells the story of a young child who notices the little things her mother likes in a series of everyday moments, so she can find the perfect Christmas gift.

Wallace Bishop Chief Operations Officer Alexander Bishop explained: “Our latest uniquely Australian campaign celebrates the idea that the perfect Christmas gift is one that reflects genuine thoughtfulness for the special people in your life. It taps into the insight that when someone truly matters, those around them instinctively notice what they love and cherish.”

Director Olivia Altavilla also explained: “When I read the script about a kid trying to find the perfect gift for their Mum, I set out to make sure our film was authentically warm with a genuine family dynamic. Together with the Ogilvy team we crafted a character who was thoughtful but also quirky and mischievous. So when we found Saffron who embodied all of these characteristics and more, we were thrilled.”
