MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) strode purposefully into 2022 with their first Virtual Member Meetup (VMM) of the year, revealing just what the digital industry could expect over the next 12 months.

Media Director of Unilever Philippines and 2021 IMMAP VP External and Communications Committee Chair Dennis Perez, unveiled the eye-catching new branding that IMMAP would be adopting, moving forward.

The new logo was inspired by the modular construction blocks (like Lego bricks), depicting the org’s brand personality of being current, yet forward-looking. The new brand identity, which was a collaboration with Gigil, also introduces the catchy tagline – “Forward Tinkerers.”

“This word play on ‘Forward Thinkers’ is a clever portrayal of how the org is always ahead of the current, and experimentation is core to making this happen,” Perez said.

It was further revealed that to future-fit the organization, the words “Internet” and “Mobile” had been officially dropped to reflect new developments in digital, such as Web 3.0 and the metaverse.

The event kicked off with a special keynote address on leadership by no less than Former Publicis Groupe Global Chief Strategist and Growth Officer Rishad Tobaccowala, who dialed in from Chicago. The accomplished author and speaker shared his insights on maintaining effective leadership in the pandemic era, emphasizing the need to repair, renew, and refresh themselves in these WFH times.

“What has made you a leader has been some ways of succeeding over time, and those are your forms of expertise,” said Rishad. “[but] if what has brought you to where you are your roots, you also have to sprout new wings.”

Rishad then proceeded to swear in the 2022 Executive Committee and Board of Trustees, led by Metrobank Chief Marketing Officer Digs Dimagiba as President, Certified Digital Marketer/e-Learning Edge President, Hans Roxas-Chua as VP for Internal Affairs, Qairos Asia CEO, Denise Haak as VP for External Affairs, Future Proof PH General Manager, Trish Esteban as Corporate Secretary, and Unilab Division Vice President, Joanna Mojica as Treasurer.

He went on to introduce the audience to the org’s different offerings and initiatives, encouraging members to actively participate in the coming year. Dimagiba reiterated his commitment to building on the accomplishments of past committees while steering IMMAP in an exciting new direction.
