MANILA, PHILIPPINES – There’s a new creative hub in the neighborhood with the launch of the adidas Greenbelt 5 store this October. True to the neighborhood stores’ concept of embodying the neighborhood it’s in, the new store features design elements that are uniquely Filipino.

Combining creativity with culture, toy designer and partner Creator Quiccs created murals that depict the street style of adidas combined with Filipino elements such as the vinta, rattan, and the Philippine flag. The lounge area also features an exclusively designed carpet by Graffiti artist Mark Barretto as its centerpiece. Additionally, Barretto also provided limited edition tote bags that were given to the first 500 customers of the store.

“From the conceptualization and designing of the new adidas Neighborhood store, we wanted our customers to claim the space as what it is: a hub that is truly Filipino. By showing off our community’s creativity and culture with the help of local artists Quiccs and Mark Barretto, we hope this touch of local art resonates with our fellow Filipinos,” said adidas Philippines Brand Communications and Sports Marketing Manager Jen Dacasin.

Aside from the store’s uniquely Filipino design elements, customers can also look forward to the new Neighborhood store housing the most exclusive adidas Originals releases. Starting with the release of adidas and Beyonce’s ”Drip 2,” the second product offering from the adidas x IVY PARK collection, will be available in limited quantities starting today. Customers can also shop with peace of mind as adidas has adapted to the current situation by following the strictest cleanliness protocols to ensure the safety of its customers and staff. Aside from routine temperature checks, contact tracing, and hand sanitization, adidas also implemented additional disinfection methods for clothes tried on by customers.

“Aside from the Manila-made designs, adjusted cleanliness protocols are also in place to welcome our customers to an adidas that always prioritizes its customers’ safety and well-being,” added Dacasin.
