LensCrafters eyes OgilvyOne for China project

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, CHINA, JANUARY 2011 — OgilvyOne has announced that Italy-based fashion, luxury and eyewear company Luxottica Group has awarded the China website development business for its well-known consumer brand LensCrafters to OgilvyOne Shanghai.

Starting in early 2011, OgilvyOne will conceptualize and create an eye-catching new China website for leading eye care and optical retailing brand LensCrafters. The website and related applications aim to help LensCrafters inspire eyewear culture in China, drive both online and offline traffic, convert shoppers to buyers and strengthen LensCrafters’ e-credentials among their existing clientele.

Leah Gan, Director of CRM, LensCrafters Greater China, said, “We chose OgilvyOne because they showed us a very fashion-forward, creative-driven, social networking-type approach to how we could develop our digital presence through our website and related mobile applications. Their clear understanding of the digital channels our consumers use and how to interpret data collected online into stronger consumer relationships in the ‘real’ world is really exciting.”
