MANILA–The adobo Design Week is just around the corner and adobo magazine is bringing in creatives and designers from all over the globe for a one-day-chance of learning and inspiration including world-renowned artist Rich Tu. Get a chance to learn directly from him in the #ThinkDesignThink adobo Design Conference on May 10 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier. 
 
Tu is a first generation Filipino-American and award-winning artist residing in Brooklyn, New York. Being a jack of all trades, Tu always pushes the boundaries of what he can do in every project he takes on, be it commercially or a passion project. He is recognized as one of the world’s best creatives under 30, receiving the “Young Guns” award from the Art Directors Club.
 
His clientele include The New York Times, The New Yorker, Business Week, Bombay Sapphire, G-Shock, Nike, Converse, American Express, NorthFace Purple Label, Coca-Cola,  Skype, and Hamilton The Musical, among others.
 
His intricate works are drawn line by line. He calls this process exercise and exorcise as a way to exorcise his creative demons. He explores everything from typography, logos, broadway posters to large-scale murals.

When he is not tinkering on design, Tu hosts a podcast about immigrants within the creative industry called First Generation Burden

The adobo Design Conference is a part of the adobo Design Week, which returns strong this year with powerhouse speakers, designers and creative directors. The 10th year of adobo Design Week 2019 and the adobo Design Awards Asia launches with the theme, THINK DESIGN THINK. Design is one of the most powerful forces in our lives and must always be in service to make lives better. Good design makes good business. The adobo Design Week 2019 will have an exhibit from May 6 to 12, a Design Masterclass on May 9 and a Design Conference on May 10. The winners of the adobo Design Awards Asia will be announced on the eve of May 10 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City.
