LONDON, UK — Boson Protocol, the universal commerce settlement layer for Web3, is partnering with some of the world’s most sought-after brands for Metaverse Fashion Week, of which Boson is a core partner.

Each brand will sell their physical products as redeemable NFTs within Boson Portal, a metaverse marketplace for buying luxury and exclusive physical products as NFTs located in Decentraland. Boson has built a boulevard of metaverse stores where these leading brands and NFT projects will offer their products for sale. Partners participating include CiderIKKSDeadfellaz8SIANThe Rebels by House of KalinkinChristine MassaranyANREALAGEWildfangz by Fang GangChubbies@Santa Monica Place x MacerichWonderNGRAVE, with more to be announced.

Justin Banon, Co-Founder of Boson Protocol, said: “Ahead of Metaverse Fashion Week, we’ve seen incredible traction so far from brands diving into selling physical goods as NFTs within Boson’s Portal’s Fashion District in Decentraland, cementing Boson Protocol’s position as the de facto solution for metaverse commerce. We are seeing huge demand amongst global brands to start selling their products in the metaverse. We are looking forward to unveiling more long-term partnerships in the coming weeks.”

Taking place from 24-27 March, Metaverse Fashion Week will host four days of runway shows, fashion experiences, pop-up shops, and afterparties, and will spotlight some of the most influential and recognisable fashion brands in the world, who, for the first time ever, can now sell physical products from within the metaverse using Boson Protocol technology. Over the course of the week, Boson Protocol will be hosting the ‘The Age of Metaverse Commerce’ conference within Portal, which will host a variety of conversations with industry luminaries that will be announced closer to the date.

Boson Protocol’s technology solves the problem of connecting smart contracts to real-world physical assets. This enables the exchange of digital value for physical assets without relying on a centralised intermediary – and the metaverse is the first use case to showcase this capability.

Banon added: “We are at the vanguard of a new era of brand-consumer relationships with Web3 commerce technology that will change how people engage with fashion. Boson Protocol sits at the intersection of the metaverse and this new form of decentralised commerce, and our goal is to showcase the unending possibilities that each will power.”

Boson has made significant strides in the industry over the last 12 months, announcing partnerships with fashion brands and creators such as MetaFactory, Auroboros, and DressX. Most notably, the company made history by purchasing a $1million USD Dolce & Gabbana Collezione Genesi “The Glass Suit”, the most expensive suit the Italian designer has ever sold. The digi-physical suit, which exists in real-life as well as an NFT wearable, will be the cornerstone of Boson’s digi-physical collection in Boson Portal.
