Digital: Music and Tweets reign as fans celebrate #MYXAwards2021 on Twitter

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Fresh from its success last year, Twitter and MYX Philippines (@myxglobal), the number one music-oriented platform in the country, once again celebrated OPM with the annual-favorite #MYXAwards2021 virtually on Twitter. This year’s edition garnered over 4.3 million Tweets from music fans around the globe. The conversation peaked at around 11 pm as everyone watched till the end and witnessed another victorious win for SB19 (@SB19Official).

The first-ever virtual celebration last year racked up 4 million Tweets globally as fans witnessed the event via livestream on MYX Philippines (@myxglobal) Twitter account. This 2021, the power of music and hitmakers in the local music scene was once again recognized with a full livestream on Twitter to reach fans at home.

Fans used the official hashtags such as #MYX, #MYXAwards, and #MYXAwards2021 as they Tweeted their support and excitement to unlock the special emoji. Prior to the event, fans were also encouraged to vote on Twitter by Liking or Retweeting the nominee’s art card Tweeted by MYX Philippines (@myxglobal).

The Most Retweeted Tweet of the night goes to BTS (@BTS_twt)  for winning International Video of the Year for Dynamite, proving the Filipino ARMYs impassioned love for the group.
