According to Bloomberg, social e-commerce is expected to reach $3.4 trillion globally by 2028. Triber is set to not only make smoother transactions between customers and merchants, but also introduce a fun online shopping experience that incorporates influencers, livestreams, games, and social sharing to save money by group buying together. Their mini app will be launched in GLife this June, and users with a GCash account can easily connect to the marketplace and make their purchases anytime, anywhere.
Quicker, easier transactions
Triber’s entry into GLife offers users a more intuitive way of buying their essentials—from groceries and ready-to-eat goods to pandemic needs and lifestyle products. One of Triber’s key initiatives is that users are able to enjoy creative content from social media influencers while finding the best group buy deals, add items to their Triber cart, and pay using their GCash wallet. This offers a frictionless checkout process while using the mini app.
Triber’s mini app lessens the back and forth when users need to process their items for checkout, as their GCash account is automatically linked with the app. This optimised payment experience helps users stay connected and get the best deals for their items. After payment settlement, orders will be processed through the Triber platform with group buy leaders handling the distribution of items. Triber covers NCR and Luzon, with Visayas and Mindanao to be launched later this year.

Triber provides an interactive space for group buying by combining e-commerce and social media. Group buys are initiated by group buy leaders for products available on the platform, which they can share on different social media networks and messaging apps. This feature allows users to form their own social communities and reach out to other interested buyers, making their online shopping more fun, convenient, and, most importantly, budget-friendly.
“Users can also search for a group buy leader via their name or location, and see which product offers are available.
