GLOBAL – OCTOBER 3, 2011: Getty Images, the leading global provider of images, has launched Talent Digital, a ‘carte blanche’ for the most award-winning international digital creative studios. The campaign, available exclusively on Facebook, reflects the digital and multimedia strategy initiated by the photo agency since its creation.
The campaign seeks to engage the most talented international digital studios in a dialogue to gain insight into their motivation, inspiration and, of course, their vision for the future. In executing this campaign, the famous photo/video/music agency gave the featured studios complete carte blanche with each studio acting as the artistic directors of their own online videos.
For the launch of this international campaign, Getty Images France chose to honor the ‘French Touch’ and chose Paris-based Hellohikimori. Awarded by the FWA 13 times, the French studio – creators of high profile projects for the likes of Universéries, The Walking Dead and Glee – is one of the most creative of its generation. Their clever use of the different techniques of digital art, painting, animation and motion design sets them apart from the rest.
Nathalie Melato, creative director and founder of Hellohikimori, says: “Our philosophy is based on originality, creativity and innovation. That Getty Images has selected us shows that our independence and our creative approach is appreciated and recognized.”
Not a French speaker? Other global talents have English videos in time for the launch: Vassilios Alexiou, creative director of Less Rain; Fredrik Weinestad, artistic director of Tinychat; Ian Coyle, creative director of Thinking for a Living.
The Getty Images digital strategy has been in the global pipeline for quite some time. Sophie Desroseaux, Marketing Manager France of Getty Images, recalls: “Talent Digital is a natural extension of what we have done since our creation: produce
quality and original content to open different paths to inspiration. Catalyst, Moodstream and 27letters, the most emblematic tools developed for the creatives, are good examples of our commitment to digital avenues."
Continues Desroseaux: "With this campaign on our French Facebook page, we want to target, reach and engage with the creative community and highlight new recognised talent, but also introduce ourselves as a real business partner, as a provider of creative resources. "
The campaign is accessible via their Facebook page in the tab ‘Talent Digital’. Getty Images France will regularly publish new videos, interviews and exclusive content for its fans.
