MANILA, PHILIPPINES — It’s going to be an exciting year for entertainment fans as more and more ABS-CBN performers join the Pinoy livestreaming app kumu. This new partnership comes on the heels of the recent success of Pinoy Big Brother: Connect, which attracted over 100,000 new users to the platform.

“The PBB Connect with kumu was groundbreaking. We received an unprecedented number of auditions and engagement with kumunizens. It made the show more interactive for the viewers,” said ABS-CBN entertainment production and Star Magic head, Laurenti Dyogi.

“At a time when we’re all isolated at home, kumu provides the venue for these interactions with fans. It’s a good training and development platform for artists in live entertainment. It’s also a way to test one’s ability to engage, to connect, and create content,” he added.

Among the popular stars joining kumu are Vivoree Esclito, Belle Mariano, and JC Alcantara from RISE Artists Studio; Kaila Estrada and Turs Daza from Star Magic have also signed on. Artists from Star Hunt, Polaris, Star Music, as well as Pinoy Pop groups BGYO, BINI, and MNL48 are also on the roster.

Meanwhile, PBB Connect fans can look forward to seeing the PBB Connect housemates and former housemates on kumu through their own livestream.

This exciting roster was announced during the segment “Big 4 Hours with kumu All Stars”, streamed live on kumu on March 19. The online event was hosted by TV host Robi Domingo and featured live performances from the stars of ABS-CBN’s different talent management arms.

Not to miss out on the fun, they were joined by PBB Connect Big 4 Winners Liofer Pinatacan, Andrea Abaya, Kobie Brown, and Jie-Ann Armero.

“kumu is a great place for artists to connect with their fans and really interact with them. Livestreaming on kumu is so different from other social media platforms, and I’m excited to witness authentic connections being made here,” said kumu Chief of Content and Co-founder Angelo Mendez, as he anticipates many more thrilling shows to come.
