MANILA, PHILIPPINES — International gaming developer and publisher MOONTON Games, together with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH), held a send-off rites for the Philippine delegates AP Bren and Blacklist International to the M5 World Championship.
The event welcomed more than 500 fans, families of the delegates, franchise teams, and representatives from both MPL-PH and Philippine Esports Organization (PESO) to send good luck wishes to the participating esports athletes.
Both Blacklist International and AP Bren are on a mission to defend the world championship title after ECHO successfully clinched the most-coveted trophy during M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
“The M5 World Championship will be the most, if not the most memorable event in MLBB esports history with the Philippines hosting while also defending its world title. We are excited to show our global fans the Filipinos’ way of showcasing its strengths in esports,” says Harry Leonardo, MOONTON Games Esports Marketing Manager.
“At PESO, we put our faith in our esports athletes who have proven to the world their dominance in MLBB esports multiple times this year. We are positive that both AP Bren and Blacklist International will deliver. Huwag kayong magpapatalo,” added PESO Executive Director Marlon Marcelo.
The program unveiled major activities for the fans such as the launch of My Letter To You: M5 Zero to Hero Video Series which narrated the inspiring stories of the players and their humble beginnings and struggles before becoming some of the most successful MLBB esports athletes now.
On the same day, MLBB Philippines released “Dugong Palaban,” the official local campaign music video featuring popular singer Maymay Entrata and rapper Shanti Dope.
MOONTON Games announced that there will be multiple watch parties nationwide in various barangays, universities, and campuses to bring the unforgettable streaming experience and foster a sense of unity and pride as the delegates fight for the title.
