BANGKOK, THAILAND — Asia’s leading esports and Web3 company, Ampverse, has announced energy drink brand Red Bull as its official partner for Thai esports team, Bacon Time.
Red Bull will join KFC, Razer, Foodpanda, Manly, and Ampverse-owned D2C creator merch store, Cuteboy, as official partners for Bacon Time this year. Red Bull will also become the official sponsor of Bacon Time in the second half of the year, following a highly successful season for Bacon Time, who were crowned Thailand AoV Pro League champions 2022.
As the official energy drink partner of Bacon Time, Red Bull will be energizing pro players, streamers, and brand ambassadors in Thailand to keep performance at the highest levels.
“Energy drink brands have been working with traditional sports teams over many decades. We’re now starting to see these brands shift to esports as the next generation of consumers is increasingly giving their attention to competitive gaming. Red Bull is a world-class brand and we’re excited to have them onboard with Bacon Time. They share many characteristics and personalities of a brand that we stand for – young, energetic, ambitious, creative, and not afraid to challenge the limits,” said Tine Hansen, head of sponsorship at Ampverse.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Bacon Time at this pivotal juncture of esports. The incredible energy and acumen that players require to excel at esports make it a natural match for Red Bull, an iconic energy drink brand known for great taste and energy. We are looking forward to energizing Bacon Time players and their fans with positive energy throughout all the upcoming esports moments,” said Prapaipak Weigl, global marketing director at TCP Group, the manufacturer of Red Bull in Thailand and Asia.
