Andy Wilson steps up as head of strategy at BBDO/Proximity Asia

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, FEBRUARY 18, 2013 –  BBDO Asia has promoted Andy Wilson to head of strategy  for both BBDO and Proximity. 
 
The new role has been created for Andy in recognition of both of his extensive influence across Asia and the recent growth of the BBDO and Proximity networks, and is focused on further establishing BBDO and Proximity as the preeminent creative and effectiveness force in Asia.
 
The role will include developing Asia-relevant content, new services, tools and strategic capabilities for our clients.  Further to this Wilson will work with the regional management team in continuing the network’s business growth, both with new and current clients, as it expands and evolves into new fields and channels. Over the last 12 months, Wilson has played a key role in BBDO and Proximity Asia successfully adding a number of new regional clients to its roster (including Visa, Johnson & Johnson, and Starbucks) as well as numerous local brands. 
 
In addition to assuming these new responsibilities, Wilson will continue his current duties of chairing BBDO and Proximity’s Asia Planning Council, as well as leading the 10-strong planning department of the Singapore office, BBDO Asia’s Hub.
